Emma Mutter - Vocal Health Practitioner

Vocal health and singing tuition

Tuition and care

I use a person-centred approach looking at lifestyle, nutrition and hydration as well as movement, breathing and singing techniques to help you reconnect with and nurture your unique singing voice.

"This precious gift that is the voice is an emotional amplifier that we must save from harm"

Prioritise Your Vocal Wellbeing

Your voice is a core part of your expression, so reconnecting with your singing voice and maintaining vocal health is a vital aspect of self care. In one-to-one sessions I will help you:

  • gain more confidence, freedom and enjoyment in your singing
  • discover the importance of hydration, breathing, movement and rest in sustaining a healthy singing and speaking voice
  • rebuild strength, ease and tone in singing after a vocal injury or illness (once clinically cleared to sing)
  • navigate voice changes you’re experiencing alongside life changes e.g. postpartum, perimenopause or ageing

Client Testimonials

"Just what I needed to learn how best to support my voice and confidence to sing in front of a group of people. Emma has the intuition and sensitivity to support and the skills to teach helpful technical exercises. I'm so glad that I asked for her help!"
"I went to see Emma after not singing for over a year following throat surgery for thyroid cancer. Since the surgery I had found singing uncomfortable and thought that I might not be able to sing again. Emma gave some fantastic advice and support which made me realise that I was still able to sing - she very much went at my pace and the sessions were fun and engaging. I've since got the confidence back to rejoin my singing group, and I'm really enjoying singing each week"
"Emma listened carefully to my real and perceived difficulties with singing - these include significant binaural hearing loss - and responded sensitively to my concerns and aspirations, using them to set clear and achievable objectives. Emma was consistently encouraging, kind and patient, and my confidence and singing have developed a great deal under her tuition."
"Emma gave me simple and practical tips to work on my vocal health, and really improved my singing confidence. As well as the technical side I had a lot of fun singing with her!"
